Umar Ahmed receives prestigious academic award
Umar Ahmed – Account Executive at Hume Brophy – has received the 2009 Insight Consultants Award for Best Performance in the MA in Public Affairs and Political Communication at DIT.
His MA dissertation investigated the existence of a Europeanisation of political communication during the 2009 European Parliament elections in Ireland. Umar’s dissertation, Did Europe Matter? Framing Europe in the 2009 European Election Campaign in Ireland, can be found here.
Umar was Head of Online Strategy for incumbent MEP Eoin Ryan during the 2009 campaign and has been working in EU public affairs since August 2009, joining Hume Brophy in early 2010.
