St Mary’s College RFC announces Hume Brophy as new main sponsors

DUBLIN rugby club St Marys College RFC have announced that international Government Affairs and Media Relations consultancy Hume Brophy is to become the clubs new principle sponsors.

Irish rugby internationals Jonathan Sexton and Shane Jennings, both of whom began their playing careers with St Marys, were at the club grounds in Templeogue to officially launch the new partnership.

Speaking at the launch at Templeville Road, Eoin Brophy, founding partner of Hume Brophy, said: Hume Brophy is delighted to announce our sponsorship of St Marys College RFC and grassroots rugby in Ireland in general.

It is important that clubs such as St Marys continue to thrive and help to develop our next generation of international rugby stars.

“Today’s stars of the game like Jonathan Sexton and Shane Jennings cut their teeth in the All Ireland League competition and if Irelands recent successes on the international scene are to be replicated, teams will need good corporate sponsorship into the future,” said Brophy.

Ronnie McBrien, President of St Marys RFC, welcomed the sponsorship saying: “It is a great honour for St. Marys College RFC to be associated with our new jersey sponsors Hume Brophy.”

“It’s a testament to the progress of the club over the last couple of years which culminated in our victory in the Leinster Senior Cup last year and runners-up in the All Ireland League.”

“We are sure that this link-up will be very successful for both ourselves and Hume Brophy.”
